Reed Flute Cave
About Reed Flute Cave
Known as the 'Palace of Natural Arts,' Reed Flute Cave is a limestone cave filled with multicolored artificial lighting that illuminates the various stalactites, stalagmites, and rock formations. The cave creates a magical underground wonderland with reflections in the crystal-clear underground pools.
History
Reed Flute Cave has been a tourist attraction for over 1,200 years, with ink inscriptions dating back to 792 CE found on the cave walls. The cave gets its name from the reeds growing outside, which can be made into flutes. Modern lighting was installed in the 1960s to enhance the natural beauty.
