Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a masterpiece of traditional Cantonese architecture and decorative arts. Built in the late 19th century, this complex showcases exquisite wood carvings, stone sculptures, ceramic figurines, and paintings, representing the pinnacle of Guangdong folk art.

History

Built between 1890-1894 by the Chen family clans from 72 counties in Guangdong Province, the hall served as both an ancestral temple and a school for Chen family members. Today, it houses the Guangdong Folk Art Museum and is considered one of the finest examples of Qing Dynasty architecture in South China.
